My Music

I perform music that Jane Austen would have known, heard and even played herself.

My choice has been largely influenced by the collection of music held by the Jane Austen Memorial Trust at Chawton in Hampshire.

It includes sonatas, sonatinas and smaller works by Pleyel, Clementi, Dussek, Haydn and many others. I also play music from operas and musical theatre of late eighteenth century England. Arrangements of songs by Dibdin, Arne, Linley, Hook and Storace, as well as a wide variety of country dance music, complete the repertoire.
